When I posted Mac Miller as a TIME MACHINE POET a few weeks ago, I never expected I’d be doing one for another rap artist so soon…. I fondly remember Nipsey Hussle from the late 00’s and his West Coast representation during a time that The Game and YG ruled the airways. Nipsey Hussle’s career exploded with his “Bullets Ain’t Got Names” trilogy which included The Marathon, The Marathon Continues and Crenshaw.
Outside of his rap career, Nipsey was an accomplished entrepreneur and businessman that had investments in mutiple ventures. Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store by Eric Holder, a jealous acquaintance. Nipsey Hussle died at the age of 33 and has been compared to Tupac Shakur, due to his community efforts and persona. Ermias Joseph Asghedom is our TIME MACHINE POET OF THE WEEK.
