Astral Tips Part 5: (Shadow People/Locust Men)

Picture this: A being of unknown origin feeds off your energy source while you’re trying to astral project.  Is this the tales of nightmares, or something more?  I’ve had run-ins with beings, and even with shadow entities that have shown an attraction to my energy levels… from my research, interviews, and personal experiences… I have come to an understanding of what mainstream culture deems as “Shadow People” or “Shadow Beings”.

I agree with some assessments that surround the lore of the astral realm but will leave that analysis and theories for the upcoming documentary “Locust Men” which is produced by Project Astral.  Locust Men examines the true intentions of the “shadow beings” and how they differ within the astral realm.

If you encounter a shadow being during your astral travels, or dream sequences, do not panic; the aura of these beings are utilizing your fear to manifest themselves – you should exit your astral session and close-off any portals of meditation for a short duration of time (stay within the physical realm) and then try again.  Want to know more about overcoming this roadblock to astral traveling?

If your encounters are frequent, you must meditate and raise your vibrations to a higher realm.  Attempting to astral project without proper research & energy is the equivalent of trying to ride a bike without prior experience; you’ll keep falling… instead, frustration overtakes.

While astral projecting, you should have a safety net.  This includes TWO STEPS.

1. Alarm

Set your alarm to envision the amount of time you wish to travel.  The time within the astral realm seems longer than it’s actual presence.

2. Object/Light

Envision an object in the room you’re projecting from.  This can be anything from a chair, a piece of jewelry, or a light source you envision to protect yourself. Surround yourself with a light force, projecting an aura.

What is astral projection and sleep paralysis?

What is astral projection?

Astral Projection is a form of O.B.E. (OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE) which can be involuntary or voluntary, depending on the usage and circumstances.  It’s a “floating” sensation that you utilize to navigate different realms via an astral body.  Astral travel is mentioned in all religious scriptures (Bible, Quran, Torah) and entered mainstream society through the Theosophy (New Age Movement) and modern-day spiritualists.

A silver cord is a common occurrence in astral travel, as stated in the Jewish Bible:

Before the silver cord snaps, and the golden fountain is shattered, and the pitcher breaks at the fountain, and the wheel falls shattered into the pit. And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God, Who gave it”

The cord acts as a pathway between your physical and spiritual body.  The cord cannot be affected in the astral realm and can only be severed if you die in the physical world.

Sleep paralysis is an experience encountered while in the beginning stages of the REM (Rapid-Eye-Movement) sleep or during the awakening process.  The subject is acutely aware of the surroundings meanwhile their body is paralyzed, and a demon, monster or shadow presence often appears.  This is a terrifying disorder that can affect anyone.

“The Nightmare” painting by Henry Fuseli

John_Henry_Fuseli_-_The_Nightmare

Astral Projection has similar traits to sleep paralysis but isn’t a frightening experience if you know how to navigate your journey.  Astral Travel or an Out of Body Experience (O.B.E.) takes place when you leave your body via the use of your Etheric body (Astral Body).  Telepathy or natural causes such as Near Death Experiences (N.D.E.) can induce astral projection.  Some individuals also have interactions with a shadow or divine being in the astral form; this is used as a deterrent to keep you from entering another realm.

There is much controversy within individual communities about the usage of astral projection.  An involuntary projection related to an N.D.E. Or traumatic experience is considered to be in a spiritual sense and not occult.  A voluntary projection refers to occult practices and so on.  These theories (in my opinion) has no apparent standing in a pure essence of astral projection, you should judge for yourself based on your experiences.

DWFD

The Bible on astral projection:

Deuteronomy 18:10-13

There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God,

2 Corinthians 12:1-4

I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. And I know that this man was caught up into paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.

According to the Islam and the Quran, tajarrod is only acceptable.  This means to have all faith and belief in Allah and no other sources, similar to Deuteronomy 18:10-13 in the Bible.  Astral practices and fortune telling devices such as ephods are prohibited by Judaism and the Masoretic Text of the Torah.  The three major religions each have a mystic sect.  Buddhist and Hinduism embrace meditation and a free flow of consciousness; thus their doctrines speak more openly within the context of astral travel.

Islam/Sufism

Sufism interprets Muhammad’s night journey “Isra and Mi’raj” as the use of astral projection and that Muhammad’s body did not physically ascend to Allah and that his astral body did instead.  This differs from traditional Islamic texts and practices.

Judaism/Kabbalah

Kabbalah as deep roots in Jewish mysticism, the obscure book “Sefer Yetzirah” is said to have origins with patriarch Abraham.  The Sefer Yetzirah has influenced countless mystics that contribute it powers to alchemical texts and astral projection.

Christianity/Christian Mysticism

Christian Mysticism derives from books such as “Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz” and has origins within the “Rosicrucian Order of the Rose Cross.”

Astral Philippines V (Astral Projection Ebook Guide 1)

In our 3-Guide series, you will receive independent astral projection research and tips from Project Astral.  The research and information relate to folklore beliefs of the Philippines and showcases the essence of the beautiful country.

Are you at a current state of frustration because you fail to achieve astral projection by your will?  Maybe you can induce astral projection involuntarily, but you can’t harness the ability otherwise?  This guide will provide four tips to start you on the path of astral travel and lead you into Guide 2 where you will learn how to induce astral projection.

I began to notice my connection to astral projection at an early age; sleep paralysis would become a nightly ritual, I became engulfed in a strange world that I couldn’t control.  Sleep paralysis is an experience encountered while in the beginning stages of the REM (Rapid-Eye-Movement) sleep or during the awakening process.  The subject is acutely aware of the surroundings meanwhile their body is paralyzed, and a demon, monster or shadow presence often appears.

Astral Projection has similar traits to sleep paralysis but isn’t a frightening experience if you know how to navigate your journey.  Astral Travel or an Out of Body Experience (O.B.E.) takes place when you leave your body via the use of telepathy or due to natural causes such as Near Death Experiences (N.D.E.).  Some individuals also have interactions with a shadow or celestial being in the astral form; this is used as a deterrent to keep you from entering another realm.

‘Astral Projection’ experiment leads to murder for Indian man

In a twist of the script from our usual astral projection news, we are reporting on a murder that took place April 11th, 2017 in India that involves the use of an astral projection experiment gone wrong.  The suspect, 30-year-old Cadell Raja murdered his family in an attempt to “free them from their physical bodies”.  He stabbed the victims and then chopped and burn portions of the corpses.  Cadell had recently become obsessed with astral projection while overseas in Australia for school.

Once apprehended, Cadell confessed to the crimes, contributed the full act of violence to astral projection and showed no remorse.  Psychologists were brought in to examine the details of the case and Cadell’s actions on the day of the slayings.  He has been diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder in the past.

As reported on Hindustantimes.com

Raja takes pride in claiming that he has ‘freed’ his relatives. Completely unrepentant, he cites weird philosophy to justify his deeds and – at times – contradicts himself,” said a senior officer investigating the case.

What could drive a person to act out a physical extraction of the soul in an attempt at astral projection?  This sounds like a scene out of Psychic Killer or The Astral Factor.

Astral Philippines IV (Mystical Locations)

Where can you find mystic locations for astral projection?  You can check out our list here, but if you live in the Philippines, you’re even more in luck. The Philippines ranks number 1 in Google searches for Astral Projection; is this just a coincidence or does the Philippines hold a view of mysticism that other civilizations overlook?

Hinatuan’s Enchanted River is a deep river situated on the island of Mindanao, located in the Philippines.  Surrounded by the borders of nearby regions Cambatong and Barangays of Talisay; its nickname “The Enchanted River,” derives from the poem “Rio Encantado,” and the unique coloration of the water.  Folktales of fairies and mystical fish that can’t be caught are just a few of the stories locals have passed down.

Scientists are baffled by the salt water that occupies the spot, the river was originally thought to be a fresh water outlet.  The depths of the enchanted river have never been recorded. Thus theories have arisen about what could lie underneath.  The legends of this beautiful place will never cease.

Mount Banahaw is an active volcano you can find in the Quezon province within the Philippines.  Spiritual sightings and religious revelations are only a fragment of the psychic activity documented in and around the mountain.  Ancient cults, religious structures, and holy healers have graced the land for ages.

Nearby, a spring dubbed “Yapak ni Kristo,” which translates to “Christs Footprint” is a site visited by thousands during the Holy Week in the Philippines.  The spring is believed to radiate healing powers and induce visions; this might be an effect of the high sulfuric levels in the water.

Here’s a sample of some of the legends surrounding MT. Banahaw.

From ciebraceheart.com:

  1. A hermit living near the foot of the mountain dreamt or had a vision that the mountain is the supposed promised land.  This also stems from a legend that because of the unrest in the middle east, the four Archangels transferred the Holy Land to Mt. Banahaw.

2.The mountain’s summit has three Crosses to depict the Crucifixion of Jesus.  On Good Friday However, that place has to be empty or deserted because they believe that only God can see the death of His Son, Jesus Christ.

3.On Good Friday also, they think that an Engkanto appears and opens up a secret cave which is a gateway to Hell.  Anyone who is at the summit will be unwillingly taken into it and never return.

4. People living near Mountain also believe that every now and then, a beautiful lady appears out of nowhere and rescues those who are in peril.

Astral Projection Films (History of Astral Projection in Films & Television)

Astral Projection is no longer an underground discussion amongst spiritualists & believers of the astral realm; the manifestation into the entertainment spectrum has a long history of B-Horror films, and now we have Blockbuster Hollywood movies on the topic of astral travel.

Released in 1975, the B-Horror film “Psychic Killer,” is one of the first cinematic adaptations of astral projection.  Originally produced as a “paranormal thriller,” the plot of the movie involves a mental patient who masters the art of astral projection; he uses his new-found talent to assist him in homicides, leaving no trace of his whereabouts.

2016_08_09-PSYCHIC-KILLER-400x455

Three years after the release of “Psychic Killer,” a film with a similar concept “The Astral Factor,” screened at the Grindhouse circuits across the States.  A manic who’s imprisoned for the murder of his mother starts to study books and methods of astral projection.  He later uses his O.B.E to strangle the five women who are responsible for testimony that persuaded his guilty verdict.

1984 brought the teen fantasy film “Dreams Come True,” and holds the highest ranking on IMDB of the latter astral movies.  A young couple discovers the realm of astral travel. They explore the concept and learn that the adventures they’ve been taking are only the start of their journey.

The plot doesn’t change much with the 1985 astral horror film “The Blue Man (Eternal Evil).”  A detective hunts down a woman and a TV producer who are using astral projection for ill intentions.  This film differs from the previous two; astral travel is involuntary, and the murders are not planned.

Luckily, horror isn’t the only genre astral travel is associated with.  In the two scenes below, astral projection is utilized in “Ace Ventura” and “Beverly Hills Ninja.”

A 1995 episode of the “X-Files” entitled “The Walk”  focuses on a Lieutenant Colonel Victor Stans who lost the use of his legs in a war.  He dreams and longs for the ability to walk again, this manifests into a dose of reality.  FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully discovers that astral projection might be a factor in the case.

Enter The Void, a 2009 French drama directed by Gaspar Noe, isn’t directly tied to the practice of astral projection but delivers in the form of surreal images in the form of “floating.”  It illustrates the essence of life after death and the world of reincarnation.  The film is shot from a first-person viewpoint.  The cinematography showcases the mystical spirit that we might experience in the life-after-life cycle.

The first mainstream Horror flick regarding astral projection was released in 2010.  Insidious examines a realm know as “The Further,” and a comatose young boy’s ability to astral projection.  Demonic tones are present in the overall plot; increasing the connection between black magic and astral ability.  Insidious has spawned multiple sequels and continues to broaden the interpretations of astral projection.

Insidious-Poster-1

The latest film to induce astral projection is 2016’s “Dr. Strange.”  Dr. Strange was originally brought to the Marvel Universe to exhibit the mystical qualities that were missing from the comics at-the-time.  His career as a surgeon comes to an end when a car accident ruins the use of his hands.  He hears about “The Ancient One” located in the Himalayas & becomes a disciple of mysticism.

The Ancient One is based on the Theosophical traits relating to Djwal Khul or The Tibetan.  He is one of the Masters of the Ancient Wisdom.  Djwal Khul or Master DK as known to followers of Alice Bailey, first communicated with Madame Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society & author of many books on the topic, including The Secret Doctrine. He relayed information of the cosmos, esoteric & was vital (according to Blavatsky) in bringing the 20th/21st century into a spiritual awakening.

Several short films have been influenced by astral projection. “Sleeping with Angels” is a 2012 experimental film about a man named David Ante. David is a victim of sleep paralysis and enters the realm of an entity called Prophecy.  The film stars Hussein Fatal from Tupac’s “The Outlawz.”

Narco Leap” is an upcoming web series in 2017.

Producer/Director Kate Green described the concept of the film to Project Astral:

It’s about a young woman, Heather, who had never been very remarkable. Things don’t get any easier when her persistent teenage lethargy escalates into full blown Narcolepsy. As if things weren’t bad enough she begins waking up from these vivid dreams screaming and most recently on the floor of a shopping Mall. The dreams are always in different places but have a recurring theme; being trapped in someone else’s body. Heather tries to take control of the dreams and is thrust into a world of espionage. With the help of her only friend, Antony, she investigates what is happening to her only to learn that she is Astral Projecting and commandeering the bodies of real people across the globe. Heather’s “superpower” is something the military wants to use as part of a covert operation turning people that can astral project into trained assassins. It isn’t long before Heather is on the run fighting to stay alive and to stay awake.
