The Blues never screams, whispers, dances… It stays silent

INT. WYION MIDWAY SALOON – DAY

AN YOUNG CARSON sits at the bar.  He holds three belts interlocked together — it’s connected to a body of a dead dog.

THE ASSOCIATE

Not the usual method.

CARSON

Man on 76 sent me here.  Told me to drag this hound.  Told me to do it with three belts belonging to a dead man.  Told me to take the hound for a drink near Wyion Midway.  Told me I’d find you soon afterward.

THE ASSOCIATE

Folklore has a funny way of persuading most people.  Including yourself Mr. Carson.  Now I have to ask the question, where about did you get those three belts at?

CARSON

My Paw.

THE ASSOCIATE

You want to play the guitar?  You want that dead man to teach you how to rock?  How to roll?  You meet me in 3 days out behind the farm you met that man on 76.

CARSON

Then what?

THE ASSOCIATE

We’ll see.

The Associate leaves.  A DOG follows behind.

Your soul.
